Questions
What counts as one window?
Each frame that opens counts as one window, so a bay with three sashes is three windows. A window more than 1.5m wide and more than 1.5m tall counts as two windows. Each 4m run of sliding or folding glass doors counts as one door set.
Do you clean inside as well as outside?
Yes. Every window, glass door and conservatory is cleaned inside and out, and the prices on this page include both.
What happens after I book?
We text you to confirm the arrival time and who is coming. Two of our team carry out the clean, using water-fed poles from the ground where they can.
Do I need to be in?
We need to get inside to clean the inside of the windows. If you will be out, you can leave a key with a porter or neighbour and tell us in the access notes.
What is the rain-repellent finish?
It is a clear treatment we wipe onto the outside of the glass after cleaning. It helps rain bead and run off, and we reapply it at each visit. It adds 20% to the price of your windows, conservatories and door sets. We do not apply it to self-cleaning glass.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes. The minimum charge is £150 a visit, and the price shown already includes it.
How do I pay?
By card when you book. For regular cleans, you pay for the first clean when you book, and we charge each later clean to the same card 4 weeks before it is due. If the work is different on the day from what was booked, we agree any change with you before we start.
Can I cancel?
Yes. If you cancel at least 72 hours before the clean, we refund you in full. If you cancel later than that, we charge 50% of the price, because we cannot rebook the team at such short notice. Within 14 days of booking, you can still cancel for a full refund at any time before the clean starts, as with any online purchase.
Are you insured?
Yes. We have £5m of public liability insurance, which covers the property we work on, and employers' liability insurance for our team.
